== Lecture A5: Object grouping mechanisms

Background

In this task we introduce some extra modeling constructs that have to do with grouping mechanisms.

Material

In this lecture we focus on chapter 6 of the lecture notes.

Targets

After this study task you will be able to:

• explain and use the concepts of specialization and generalization.
• explain and use the set type construct of ORM.

What you have to do

• Read exercises 6 and 7 from the Collection of Elaborated Exercises.
• Make exercises 1, 2 and 3 from the current chapter.

Reflection/Discussion

Besides the usual requirements for conceptual schemata, we especially focus on the recognition of object types that have are identified by a group of instances.
