The quality of models

We use instruments to evaluate the quality of models. An important question here is, how these instruments can be validated. As a starting-point, we adopt the overview given by Daniel Moody in his paper entitled theoretical and practical issues in evaluating the quality of conceptual models ([1]). The empirical validation of quality instruments can be done using the following approaches:

  1. Laboratory experiment.
  2. Action research.
  3. Field experiment.
  4. Survey.
  5. Case study.
